Unlike the eight states that have regulated cannabis, Illinois does not have a citizen ballot initiative process. That means the most important thing you can do to end cannabis prohibition in Illinois is contact your state legislators.
Send an email to your state lawmakers! We make sending your lawmakers a message quick and easy. All you have to do is type in your address. You can either send a pre-written letter or craft your own message.
Call your Illinois state representative and state senator to urge them to regulate cannabis like alcohol. We provide their phone numbers and a sample script.
Remember to always be polite and respectful to lawmakers, even if you disagree with their stance. Many legislators evolve on cannabis policy, and aggressive or rude calls will only slow down that evolution.
